Neighbor is pleased to host our friends, Here to Honor, and the next installment of the Minding our Mortality Book Club. More info from the host below:
“Minding our Mortality” [MoM] events by Here to Honor provide opportunities for contemplative thought and conversation—designated time and space for considering our impermanence in ways that tap into our deepest human longings and shape how we face our finitude.
We will be discussing Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin, a novel that follows the relationship between two friends over several decades, who begin a successful video game company together. The book explores themes of friendship, identity, failure, and the meaning of life.
It is recommended that you read this book prior to our meeting at Neighbor on Wednesday evening, May 8th. Beverages and snacks will be provided.
A description of this book is excerpted from Bookshop.org below:
Sam and Sadie--two college friends, often in love, but never lovers--become creative partners in a dazzling and intricately imagined world of video game design, where success brings them fame, joy, tragedy, duplicity, and, ultimately, a kind of immortality.
Purchasing from Bookshop.org supports local bookstores as well as Here to Honor.
This is a free event, but you will have the option to make a suggested donation of $10 during the registration process—that would help us cover costs and is greatly appreciated!
